Tip #7

Web

No Keyword Stuffing

According to Google "Keyword stuffing" refers to the practice of loading a webpage with keywords or numbers in an attempt to manipulate a site's ranking in Google search results.

Often these keywords appear out of context of the rest of the page, in a huge list within the footer of the page for example. Filling pages with keywords or numbers results in a negative user experience, and can harm your site's ranking.

Techniques involve adding text that is the same colour as the page background, hiding text behind images, setting the font size to 0, etc.

Browsers read code, so none of these techniques will get past any search engines, and it will only harm your page ranking.
